March 10, 2016 at 5:56 pm #35536b2interactiveSpectatorI am trying to update one of our sites to the newest version of WPLMS and after I install the Vibe Course Module the list of students in the admin section disappear. After the student logs in and then continues the course they are added back to the list. I need to figure out how to fix this issue.March 11, 2016 at 7:17 am #35636Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease note that the buddypress en-list the member into site when the user logs into site for atleast one time. Meaning that atleast one activity should be done by the user only then buddypress considers the user as member and shows it on the on the course admin page or members directory .March 14, 2016 at 5:03 pm #36344b2interactiveSpectatorThank you for your reply and I understand that but this site has been running for almost 2 years now. Multiple WPLMS updates and we have never run into this. I can't make the update live, which has some features and fixes we need, because all of the students are missing from the list and our client will not like that the students are missing until they log in. Is there a fix for this? Something I can run after the update that will automatically give every current student one activity so that they show.March 15, 2016 at 6:33 am #36398Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell there is no such change in the vibe course module . It is provided for courses only it does not make any changes in members directory or buddypress course functionality . Please also check if the following components are enebled from settings -> buddypress -> components . refer : http://prntscr.com/affgdnMarch 17, 2016 at 6:27 pm #37158b2interactiveSpectatorThose are all checked. I've tried restarting and doing the update all over again to no avail. I also went through and updated each plugin one by one, testing to see when it happened, and when I updated the vibe course module is when all the students for the list disappeared.March 18, 2016 at 8:11 am #37268Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease note that the members are saved in database and update just changes the files and it does not alter any database values at all . So how can this be connected to the update ? Have you imported the users ? Can you check if the users are appearing on the members directory .(your-site.com/members) . Needed proper steps and admin credentials along with site url to check this issue at your end . PS : mark reply as private while sharing the credentials .March 18, 2016 at 3:42 pm #37423b2interactiveSpectatorI get that too and its also confusing me but I found a piece inside the code thats looking if its a higher version so i figured there is some code deeper that is running a db update. All I do know though is that it happened when I did it on staging, when I pushed only code up to production, when I retried it on staging, and when I went through testing to find out when it happened. When I check the /members area it tells me there are 165 students but doesn't list any out. Here are the credentials for our staging: http://bbdental.wpengine.com Locked website creds: user - bbdental pass - 0d0b9bc455f0087a WP creds: user - admin pass - FrAver5j Also bear in mind the update isn't fully installed since I stopped once I installed vibe course module. You still need to use ?action=admin to get to the course admin part.March 19, 2016 at 7:27 am #37508Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease note that from wplms version 1.8 to 2.0.7 we have made mahy changes in the architecture of wplms . Now we set a course status in usermeta and check this at each step which was not in the 1.8 version . The site that you have shared contains 1.8 version of the theme and also issue is not appearing on the site . so we need a test site(create a staging site ) in which we can replicate the issue and test our code fix . Needed admin credentials and a valid ftp credentials of that staging site to check the code is working on the site . Also we want to make sure if you haev only one course in your site ? If it is then it would be easy for us to make your 1.8 setup to update to 2.0 . Ps :mark reply as private while sharing the credentials .March 21, 2016 at 4:11 pm #37932b2interactiveSpectatorI went ahead and re-pulled production down to staging and created an sftp login for ya'll. We do only have one course on this site but we have 2 other sites built on WPLMS (One with more then 1 course) that will eventually need to move up too. SFTP Host: 198.61.225.41 Port: 2222 User: bbdental-vibestaging Password: V1bEwplms22093 URL: bbdental.staging.wpengine.com User: bbdental Password: 0d0b9bc455f0087aMarch 22, 2016 at 8:09 am #38041Anshuman SahuKeymasterWe added the code it executed successfully resolving your issue on the staging site . Please check your staging site . I followed this tip : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/upgrading-wplms-version-from-1-9-or-less-to-2-0/ Please remove the code after opening your course page .
