The Messages menu option is not visible when logged in as an Administrator. I have also tried to add it to the top menu as per the screen shot you shared (http://prntscr.com/9a5fsg) but I do not have the Messages option under BuddyPress (see screenshot attached). Any help will be much appreciated.Please try enabling the Private messaging component from wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress -> components . http://prntscr.com/9nuoa3
