Hi there: When clicking the Course Block of certain courses, I want the links to open in New tabs instead of the same tab. I was able to do this before WPLMS 2.0 update but can no longer do this anymore. This is an important feature for "Affiliate Courses". I don't want people to leave my website when clicking on affiliate links. I dont want to do this for all courses just some courses. PLease see the video demonstration in the video below.

We did not do any changes with the course item blocks so this is strange why it is not working now . Please try contacting your third party plugin author for this . You can also refer to this tip to create your own custom featured block style:  https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/creating-custom-featured-block-style/

Thanks for your help, but I am going to challenge your assertions with evidence presented here: 1. "We did not do any changes with the course item blocks" Exhibit 1: Please see the attached images of the old course blocks versus the new course blocks. As you can see with the design differences it is clear that there are changes in the old versus new course blocks. 2. "...this is strange why it is not working now. Please try contacting your third party plugin author for this." Exhibit 2: Please watch this short video where I demonstrate that the issue is not with the 3rd party plugin but rather related to the new updates. http://quick.as/lXbjt23Dl btw: the third party plugin i am using is called: "Page Links To" -------------- 1. Could you kindly check the bug and fix it? 2. How do I get the old course block design back?

There was a bug in the course featured style block with the links to the image there was a link generating two times in the course block and  i guess the page links to plugin is using that link for for its custom link . So adding the custom featured block style with the permalink of the course would solve this issue : Please try adding this code in your wplms-customizer.php file in wplms customizer plugin . https://gist.github.com/MrVibe/b9a2da179fc6b36a86cf and then please select your custom featured block in the page builder post grid or carousel settings . refer : http://prntscr.com/9w98jd

Hi there: Used this code but it didn't fix the issue and also removed the course blocks from everywhere else (i.e. no course block would show up anywhere just blank pages). Please Note the following: I don't think the "Page links To" is working because of the double links. The double links are probably a bug anyways and should be removed. If you notice (in the attached image), the "page links to" works from the course block "Course Title" as well and opens in a new tab. There are no double links there. (See attached image) - this image is from original wplms before update. There is really some other bug that is causing this, perhaps a senior developer can look into this?

Please also note, this issue appears to be happening on Home Page only which has the "No Title" template. If I change the template to "default", it starts working fine. To me it appears it definitely has something to do with the "New Style Changes" introduced with WPLMS 2.0. Does this provide some clue?

A workaround to this is to create a new template based on page.php and then hide the top part via css. Do you have any suggestions on why the "No Title" template is not working for this?

I want to add to my previous 2 replies the fact that the mobile layout is a bit messed up and mobile menus are missing.

@Foxycleop : The screenshot you've pasted was one of the bug fixes in the recent update. The new style changes does not alter this. @Alex : It seems you've removed the fix and given the code to foxycleop, hoping the issue gets resolved. @Foxycleop : No title not working in home page for Modern theme refer : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/no-title-template-not-working-as-home-page-in-modern-theme/   So, I just want to confirm is your original issue or course not opening in new tab fixed ?

Dear Mr. Vibe Alas, No, the issue is NOT fixed yet. As I mentioned previously, the "No Title" template does not open the link in new tab (which it used to in pre 2.0 WPLMS versions). When i changed the Template to "Default", it started working fine. I would have been satisfied with this fix but realized that there are issues with Mobile Layout with WPLMS 2.0. So ultimately, now I am waiting for the Mobile layout to be fixed. If you wish to read more about the mobile layout issue you may refer this thread that I have created: https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/mobile-layout-and-mobile-menu/

ok, so do you need a fix  for this or are we discussing this in the this topic :  https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/mobile-layout-and-mobile-menu/ The reason I ask is that this topic still shows up in our pending list, if there is nothing more required on this topic then we can close it.

Yes, we can close this - I was able to fix this particular issue by changing the home page template to "Default" from "No Title" and using CSS to hide the extra stuff. So this issue is fixed, the links open in new tab now for me. (I wonder why it doesn't work in the No Title template). We can now deal with the Mobile layout issue which is the topic of the other post.
