safe course score after restarting course

Hello, See this video (http://somup.com/crlUQuZcMn). Is that possible? I would love my students to have their final course score saved up until a new final score has been set. Now when they click retry, the website immediately loses the course score that has been set before. UPDATE: I see my audio wasn't recorded. So just the first 50 seconds is enough to watch and understand my question.. Thanks Gijs
