Short description course page and unlimited access

I have two questions: (1) I would like to remove or hide the short description on a course page (see attachment). (2) Even though I set 9999 as course duration still some courses pick this up wrong and do not show "unlimited acces". All my courses are unlimited access so is there some way to make this default for every course? thanks in advance, and kindest regards!

Okay can you please confirm if the user is logged in while she checks he course home page and see this duration ? Note that the duration shown in the course details widget in course page shows the actual duration that is left for the user in that course . Please also note here that if you have set subscription in course product (refer : http://prntscr.com/c555wg) then for this uration student will be subscribed in course and system will disregard the duration setting in the course setting.(refer : http://prntscr.com/c5567s) . So disable the subscription duration in that course product .(refer : http://prntscr.com/c556t4) Note that above change will not take effect for the users who are already added to the course in past . It will apply for the new users . For old user you have to extend their subscription in that course from course admin.(refer :  http://prntscr.com/c557j7)

Thanks for the reply. The duration is only as "unlimited acces" when logged in. Not logged in users see 9999 hours. Is is possible to change this to unlimited access as well? All our courses are automatically created with unlimited subscription. It does seem to be the case that sometimes, even logged in users see 9999 hours instead, not clear what causes this...

Okay please simply change the duration parameter to days instead of hours in your course and confirm if this fixes your issue .
