A bug on the course page is that as soon as a student enters a course page, he or she get's subscribed to the course without even clicking Start Course. Also, the instructor gets an email saying the student has subscribed to the course.
Can we fix this please?
Unable to replicate the issue ,this might be from your caching problem or the course would be free or user may have bought the same membership that is attached to the course .
Can you show screenshots or some kind of video related to the issue ?
Hey Alex,
The courses are free for now on the site. However, even though courses are free, the subscribe email should only be sent once the student Starts a course not just views the course page.
The subscribe email is triggered right when user is added to the course in wplms .
In free courses case students get subscribed to the course when they access the course directly and the email is triggered in this case .
Hi Alex. You aren't understanding the problem. The course isn't getting subscribed to when the student accesses the course by clicking "Start Course" but when the student visits the course page. The student doesn't even click on Start Course. Getting it?
Please go to www.Curricooler.com and register and try it. Don't click on Start Course. Just visit the course page and you will get an email. Please note that I'm not using any caching plugin and am complying with all the rules of WPLMS.
Thanks
Yes i have checked your site already .Please note that the start course button appears when the user actually added to the course (subscribed to course) and in case of free courses user automatically gets subscribed to the course without clicking anywhere when the course page opens .Hence she is subscribed to course and then subscribe email is triggered for it .
You can disable the auto subscribe of free courses from LMS -> settings .

I have disabled it and enabled notification email when a student starts a course. However, this email isn't being triggered. What could be issue?
This is an issue and this will be fixed in the next update of vibe course module .
