Submitted assignments can't be viewed from instructor admin

Hi I am using modern theme. All the setups are fine and working. But the only problem I am facing that from instructor admin for a course when I try to see the submitted assignments the "+" sign is opening but it is not having anything inside (No student name or checkbox to view or put remarks). Where as quiz and course submission work fine. From admin dashboard in comment section, I can see the submitted assignments though. All the plugins are updated to latest version . I am not using any other third party plugins except akismet.

Also I am using only text area type submissions for assignments. No upload features.

I am using Wordpress 4.4. Any help please?

Please check if the assignment is connected to the correct course from back end assignment edit page  and is included in the unit which is included in course curriculum . refer : http://prntscr.com/9n4q8k
