Theme test with local wp setup

Hi I have website hosted using GoDaddy. I have purchased and insatlled wplms theme. Now it will take some time for me to understand the setup and to utilize all the plugins and functionality. Can I use wplms theme in local wp environment (for testing purpose) on my windows machine before doing actual changes to website. Also would you please guide when to use main theme and child theme.

Hello Yes you install it on your local. Please refer : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1F04Q6AGsU
Please download a fresh copy of the theme using the themeforest account .Install all the recommended plugins first and then go for the install wplms option .
Please also check your folder and file permissions . But please remember that you need internet connectivity while you are installing the demo.
