Unlimited time for assignments

I want assignments to have unlimited time for submission. that means, there is no time limit for assignments for every user. I have tried everything like setting 0 days or leaving it blank. but in these both cases, the assignment is expired as soon as user starts the assignment. Can we disable the timer of assignments in some settings to have unlimited time assignments ?

set it as 999 days. It will mean unlimited time.

setting 999 days still shows the time remaining as 999 days which looks bad. If it's unlimited time, then time remaining should not be visible too.

I guess it is a typo .Skywalker missed one 9 :P . He meant to say that set the duration to be "9999" days .
