When you add Dashboard Link under the BuddyPress Logged-in section here - http://prnt.sc/ucw8k6 to the main menu, it links to a url like this - https://yourwebsite.com/members-directory/username/dashboard/ . This url leads to a link empty page like this - http://prnt.sc/ucwc51 However, if you add the same Dashboard link to the VibeBP Loggedin Menu , it links to a url like this - https://yourwebsite.com/members-directory/username/#component=dashboard and it shows the Dashboard the way it should be. How do we add a dashboard link to the main menu to display the dashboard properly. ThanksSeptember 7, 2020 at 8:49 pm #301515deeParticipantHi, I also just discovered that the issue is not just the Dashboard link alone, all the other links under BuddyPress Logged-in section have issues when added to the main menu. Course opens Dashboard Activity shows 404 error Messages open Dashboard etc Please look into thisSeptember 8, 2020 at 7:19 am #301631VeronicaModeratorok thanks for sharing the same I need to look into the same I will follow the steps as you have mentioned and then share the results here thanksSeptember 8, 2020 at 7:44 am #301637VeronicaModeratoryes, it is working something like that: http://somup.com/cYQji4X0is always redirect to dashboard need to check further let you know hereSeptember 8, 2020 at 8:47 am #301658deeParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.September 8, 2020 at 1:19 pm #301738VeronicaModeratorhi, the menus which we are adding in the vibebp profile menu and dashboard menu are not the WordPress menu that's the reason they will not work in the main menu it will work only with vibebp and dashboard sectionSeptember 8, 2020 at 4:40 pm #301779deeParticipantHello, So there is no way to add a functional dashboard link to the main menu? This is surprising.. It was possible with Version 3.X. It will create navigational issues for our website users. Most users won't think about clicking the Profile menu on the upper right, they will login and be confused about what do next. Adding Dashboard link to main menu greatly improves user experience and usability of our website. There has to be a way to fix this.September 9, 2020 at 8:26 am #301965VeronicaModeratorhi, as vibebp is totally independent no relation with WordPress functionality that's the reason the menus available in the vibebp section can't be implemented in the WordPress area it is the same as we can provide login to WordPress automatically logins the user in vibebp section but when login from vibebp section we can't log in the user in WordPress it's not an issue to be fixed it is the default functionality
