Updating Visual Composer- length of time to delete?

I am trying to update Visual Composer and am following Method #1 in your post at http://vibethemes.com/docu+mentation/wplms/knowledge-base/how-to-update-visual-composer/. I'm deleting the /js-composer folder via ftp. My WPLMS theme is totally up to date. However, it's taking over 40 minutes and so far, the ftp que says over 500 files have been deleted. I just want to know if this is typical, as I don't want to lose work I've done since my last backup. Thanks for your guidance. :)

Yes the visual composer is bit heavy plugin in size as well as in execution so it will take time to delete and also installing the plugin . ? So please delet th plugin via ftp and then goto wp-admin . You will see a message to install visual composer . install an activate it .
