Woocomerce 2.6.2

Is it safe to update Woocommerce to latest version 2.6.2 A couple of days ago I tried to updated and the website crashed. The host resolved the issue but the plugin is still not updated.

Well woocommerce 2.6.2 has some database changes . so if your any database table is corrupted a bit then the update my crash the site . So before updating the Woocommerce plugin please Repair or optimize your database first then please take a backup of your site and then try upgrading the Woocommerce , /Make sure that no user is online on your site .
