February 3, 2018 at 11:54 pm #145510learninguSpectatorHi, I purchased and have implemented the woocommerce addon. I have a few questions about this. You can see the addon installed on this page: https://career.wpdevcloud.com/course/hospital-based-coding-program/
- My first question is about the Take This Course button. Now that button is not active until you select an option from the woocommerce addon variable. I understand why that is, but when I rolled this out to some pilot users, they found the UI very confusing. Almost all of them reported the "Take This Course" button was broken. When I told them they first need to select a payment option, they said it was not clear or intuitive at all.
- Why does it display the word "Quantity" above the price? This does not make sense? Can I remove or change the wording?
I have not tested this yet, but I want to make sure I understand the functionality of this. I set up a monthly payment option and I set the payment duration for the monthly option to be 30 days. Will the payment automatically be deducted from the customer's Stripe credit card every 30 days? Do I need to do anything each month, or will the payment happen automatically if they select the Monthly option?
What if the user would like to cancel their monthly payment? What are the steps to cancel the monthly payment? Thanks for your help on these questions!

The setting for this is available in lms settings, refer : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-woocommerce-direct-purchase-a-variation/ 2) This is displayed by woocommerce plugin, I can give you a css to hide it but if you want to use the variatio popup then this will be removed automatically. 3) No, the woocommerce plugin doesn't allow the recurring subscription i.e. the payment is deducted automatically. This feature is only available in woocommerce subscription addon by woocommerce.February 6, 2018 at 9:43 pm #145810learninguSpectatorThank you! The direct purchase variation option is great! That is very helpful. I need a little more info on this: If a person selects the monthly option, will it automatically charge their card the amount of the product ever 30 days for the duration of the course? For example, I want to have 2 payment options to access the course. The course is set up to allow access for 365 days: Pay annual: $100 (this is a one time payment for access to the course - for 365 days) Pay monthly: $10 (this is a recurring payment of $10 for access to the course - for 365 days If a person selects the Pay monthly, I want them to be charged $10 for the duration of the course (in this case 365 days). I don't want the user to be able to cancel their monthly plan 2 months into that 365 period. I'm trying to determine if this will accomplish my goal. If the user purchases the course, they will have access to it for 365 days. It just depends if they want to pay a one time fee (pay annually) or a monthly fee to access that course. Let me know if any clarification is needed. Thanks!February 7, 2018 at 10:52 am #145873H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi, No, this is not the recurring subscription, therefore the users will not be charged automatically. You can set 2 payment methods for 365 days and for 1 month, but they will not be charged automatically because the woocommerce doesn't allow this. For the recurring payments the woocommerce has it's own addon i.e. woocommerce subscription.February 7, 2018 at 3:39 pm #145954learninguSpectatorThanks. I will explore woocommerce subscriptions. Does it come prepacked with WPLMS? I'm confused because I thought I was getting a recurring subscription product when I purchased with the WPLMS woocommerce addon? If not, then what is the purpose of the WPLMS woocommerce addon?February 8, 2018 at 9:35 am #146026H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi, Woocommerce subscription doesn't come with wplms, it's a different addon developed by woocommerce. The wplms woocommerce addon is developed to integrate the course with the product variation. You get lots of options in the variable product according to the course. You also gets the instructor premium course feature in wplms woocommerce addon. -
