Hello,
I am at WP Engine, i applied the tip for the login provided here
https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/fixing-login-widget-on-wplms-sites-hosted-on-wpengine-com/
Everything was working fine for a time, then all of a sudden things changed. When a user tries to login, he is redirected to a wordpress login (even though the login and pass are correct), if the user tries to login in the wordpress login, he is successfully logged in and is redirected back to the website.
I would like to fix this redirect
Thank you in advance
here is the website and admin credentials:
https://classpro.staging.wpengine.com
login: classproftw
pass: ybjpro!16
thank you for your help
Thanks for sharing the credentials.
I checked your site and tried to replicate the issue 3-4 times but I am unable to replicate the issue. Whenever I login from the front end I am directly logged in and not redirected to wordpress login.
Please refer the video in my next private reply taken from your website.
yes, actually when you try to login as the admin, it works, however if you create a simple user account, you get the redirect, i just tried it out on chrome and firefox with cleared browser history and cache and i always get the redirect to wordpress Login
can you try it out by creating an account pls ? (attention if you create with hotmail, activation mail goes into spam, don't know why, only happens on hotmail)
thanks, Yaros
Ok I checked your site and found out that you pasted the code as it is in file.
Please refer the last line in the article:
http://prntscr.com/bw46v4
You have to change
mywpengineinstallname with your wp-engine install name.
So please change it and then check the issue.
In your case the wp-engine install name is "classpro" .
Hello Latiyan, aah ok i see, i completely did not noticed that, yes this seems to fix the issues ! thank you very much
ps: for my staging environment i had to replace by mywpengineinstallname mydomain.staging.wpegine
best regards
Yaros
