When we create a new user, we go to the Admin area, click on ‘Users’, click on ‘New User’, enter a Username, Email, First Name, Last Name, Password and Role.

When that user logs in, they actually see their full name in the top right part of the screen . So, they need to go to Profile, then click on the ‘Edit’ tab, then change their First name – which, for some reason is appearing as First Name and Last Name concatenated. The last name then needs to be entered into the last name box as it is empty and not mapping over from the Users setup. So, there’s a mapping issue between the Users setup and the LMS profile.

How can this be corrected?

Thanks

This is the issue between the buddypress and wordpress on how they handle the names of the registered users .
By default buddypress uses only one name field and wordpress uses two fields (last name and first name ) .
So when the user is added from wordpress end buddypress takes both the last and first name field and concatenate it .
Please contact or search buddypress for this issue as wplms does not have any interference with this .
