February 24, 2016 at 7:14 am #31506dfarjounSpectatorHi, I've made a clean test install to see how is version 2.0.6 and simply could not put it to work. On my local install I simply could not see the curriculum, the top image (on top of the menu), etc. It loaded the curriculum url, but showed the first info page. I also showed a color inside customization preview and another color after hitting save button. Actually, it looked like nothing was behaving normally. So I tried an online install. On my online install I just couldn't install the updated plugins. I lost access to backend every single time I updated the plugins to 2.0.6, specially after updating customtypes plugin. I did it several times and all of them happened the same thing. Is this version really unusable? Or am I doing something really wrong? Thanks!February 25, 2016 at 5:50 am #31860Anshuman SahuKeymasterSince 2.0 is a major update . There are many conflicts that may arrive in the existing setup . Please follow these steps to upgrade to 2.0.6 : Make sure that you update the theme child theme and all its plugins to the latest alltogether from wp-admin -> updates screen . Old versions of plugins with some new versions may create problems . Please also update the visual composer by referring the tip and visual composer 4.9 has many issues . After update immediately re-save immediately re-save the permalinks and clear browser cache . If re-saving permalinks still does not helps then please enable the "Revert pretty permalinks" option from lms -> settings . Also there is an ongoing issue with the course description which may cause problems in the single course page (course home). to resolve this please just add the "Read more" tag at the end of the course description. refer reply of Mr. Vibe on the topic : https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/quit-read-more-in-course-description/ Fix for this coming up in the next update of wplms . a handy tip : re-save permalinks whenever site behaves strange and pages becoming blank or something .February 25, 2016 at 7:18 am #31895dfarjounSpectatorThanks, Alex. I'm really frustrated with this 2.0.6 version. Spending several days to resolve problems that didn't existed before. I made a clean install with 2.0.6 only files and the one page child. I have 2 'administrator' links in the menu and the page is terribly designed. I don't have top menu or logo, the text is glued to the left without padding, etc. On another test version (a copy of my actual site but running locally), I updated every single plugin and file. I simply can't put the design like the example in modern theme. The start course ("iniciar curso") button appears below the menu and not above it, like in your example. I've attached the images. The image of the two "administrator" buttons on the menu should be the same as your one page layout as attached 14.35am.png The last image 15.07am.png is your modern theme. Look the top part with the price and buy button. My version won't put the price there. Only below the menu. Thanks!February 25, 2016 at 7:21 am #31899dfarjounSpectatorAnd for your information... Some of your tips really worked for other problems (permalinks, visual composer, etc). But the mentioned above is after trying everything you posted. Thanks!February 26, 2016 at 8:10 am #32262Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease note that the issues are appearing due to the outdated child theme . One page have outdated templates now. I do not understand why do you want to use one page child theme coz all layout and styles are provided in the main default theme now . Try switching to the main theme to resolve these issue . If you really want to use the one page child theme . Then please replace the home.php file in course folder of the one page child theme with the home.php of the main theme in course folder . And delete the forums folder form one page child theme .
