Ajax login doesn't work

Hi, I am trying to set up the modern theme however i am having some trouble with the ajax login. It works everywhere except the home page. Here it is displayed but the login function doesnt work. Instead, the user is redirected to: http://mysite.com/?post_type=course&s=&log=uername&pwd=password&wp-submit=SIGN+IN&testcookie=1 I used fresh install of wp and uploaded main theme and modern theme. I followed the modern theme install video but of it didnt work properly as the sample data couldn't be found for modern theme. Therefore i installed sample data for original theme and then activated modern theme, and then imported the homepage as per the instruction video. Im not sure if that is related to the problem?   Many thanks in advance for your reply.
