October 9, 2020 at 1:06 pm #317254Anshuman SahuKeymasterJust ran a test and found the drip emails are working : https://prnt.sc/uw5ioa but I set this for 10 minutes , for 1 minutes it was missing mails , emails not going 100% times . We are using wordpress cron jobs which executes the moment wordpress runs anything on the server like accessing website . this is why the emails are not going when drip duration is 1 minute / Also please check activation emails are going from the site ?October 13, 2020 at 9:23 am #317926anarelvasSpectatorOk, let me check. :) I'll get back, AnaOctober 14, 2020 at 3:20 pm #318311anarelvasSpectatorHi! I changed to one hour and still not receiving the email. How do I "check activation emails are going from the site?" Thanks AnaOctober 14, 2020 at 3:30 pm #318314anarelvasSpectatorHi!
- I think the option of activation emails being sent does not happen (and I don't want it to happen). But where do I see it?
What other way can I check if emails are being sent by buddypress? Emails are sent for instance when a user makes a purchase or news are added within a course. Are these sent by buddy press?
If it is something related with the wordpress cron jobs, how can I check that?
I hope these questions help you helping me :) Ana
October 15, 2020 at 11:41 am #318525Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell I checked it and found that other emails are working like course started : https://prnt.sc/uzt1xq But the drip emails which are sent using cron jobs are not working , infact none of the cron jobs are executing and does remain pending in queueue on your site . I think you have this line in your wp-config.php file : Please refer : https://prnt.sc/uztjg7October 19, 2020 at 4:25 pm #319422anarelvasSpectatorHi! It seams to be working with time between units. I will now test for sections. Meanwhile:- There is no email sent when the first unit is completed. The student cannot access the following unit, the email does not appear to be scheduled and is not received. After the time, the student accesses the unit. Do you have any ideia of what is the cause?
The instructor is now receiving an email when a student starts a course. I've been looking and cannot figure out how to disable this notification.
Thanks Ana
October 21, 2020 at 4:13 am #319701Anshuman SahuKeymaster1 . Well the drip email is scheduled for the second unit when the the first unit is accessed.so for first unit there will be no email only for second unit . 2 . Please goto wp-admin -> lms-> settings -> touch points -> disable the start course touch point there .October 21, 2020 at 9:03 am #319824anarelvasSpectatorHi! Regarding (1) I am not sure I understand. I was not clear also. The student does not receive a message after X time the unit 1 is completed, which means that unit 2 is available. Was that what you meant? Thanks! AnaOctober 22, 2020 at 2:28 pm #320162Anshuman SahuKeymaster1 . I meant for the first unit drip email is not sent as there is no restriction on the first unit, no matter if you complete or not . The content available drip email will start sending for second unit in every course /October 22, 2020 at 2:48 pm #320172anarelvasSpectatorWhich means that as the student finishes the first unit and after the defined time, he should receive an email saying that the second unit is available. Right? That does not happen.October 23, 2020 at 2:25 pm #320392Anshuman SahuKeymasterYEs for the second unit . Note that the accuracy of the email does depends on wordpress cron system . note that the cron jobs executes only when wordpress is loaded by any means on server .If there are no requests to server then cron does not executes and hence email does no deliver . This does works properly when drip feed is set for 1 day or more -
