hide select order dropdown

Hi, i put the following css select#course-order-by {display:none;} in wp-admin>appearance>customize>custom css to hide the whole dropdown "select order" from course directory but its not working

Try this instead of above one .directory.course li#course-order-select {display:none !important;}
