how safe is updating to last version?

Hello, is there any way to know if it's safe to update to last version? I like to have all updated as much as possible, but I read some topics on the forum about people having problems when updating their sites and I'm a little scared about it. So what are the best practices to update WPLMS? Thanks!

Hi Diana, thanks but I meant, how can I be sure that I won't lose any information of my current plugins, theme etc? Is there a way?

Well as far as I know its safe to update.But if your site is live and has live users on it .I would recommend to first testing update on a test or staging site first and then Try updating on your live site . refer this topic for staging : https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/how-to-create-wp-staging-environment/   IMPORTANT NOTE : update plugins first alltogether from wp-admin -> dashboard -> updates and then theme .
