July 16, 2018 at 6:18 pm #169383OscarSpectatorHi, So, I downloaded Loco translation plugin and I am ready to translate my page...but where to put language switch buttons and how? Any tips & tricks? I reckon that this would be a good spot for language switch, but how can I add it there? http://i63.tinypic.com/2m648ys.pngJuly 17, 2018 at 5:57 am #169424Mark MorganSpectatorLoco translate is used for single language translation. For multi language translate you can use WPML plugin. To buy wpml plugin click here. Also follow this tip : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-with-wpml-multilingual-plugin/July 18, 2018 at 5:45 pm #169658OscarSpectatorOk, thanks, so I have to buy WPML plugin. Fine. After I have installed it and translated my page into multiple languages, how do I put language switch in the page as seen in the screenshot? http://i63.tinypic.com/2m648ys.pngJuly 19, 2018 at 6:47 am #169693Mark MorganSpectatorIn order to set button in header as shown in your screenshot you can also use Gtranslate plugin. Refer : https://wordpress.org/plugins/gtranslate/July 19, 2018 at 12:28 pm #169800OscarSpectatorOk, but its a lot more expensive than WPML plugin. Is there no other way how to get a language switch widget?July 19, 2018 at 2:35 pm #169819OscarSpectatorAlso, can you make language to switch automatically based on the users location with WMPL?July 20, 2018 at 8:02 am #169894Mark MorganSpectator1 You can follow this tip to change the position of language switcher button using wpml plugin. Refer : https://wpml.org/forums/topic/change-language-switcher-button-position/ 2 To switch automatically based on user location please check this ticket : https://wpml.org/forums/topic/geolocation-2/July 20, 2018 at 3:29 pm #169978OscarSpectatorOk, thanks. One more question:
- I installed WPLM plugin
Now watching this tutorial:
https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-with-wpml-multilingual-plugin/ But it skips the most important part ... how to get language appear in CMS as in this screenshot? Video doesn't show it, but it's essential to translate pages...
July 20, 2018 at 3:45 pm #169979OscarSpectatorLanguage in CMS magically appears at 1:33 if you watch the video..July 21, 2018 at 6:08 am #169991DianaParticipant@oscar For that, please follow this Documentation of WPML: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-switcher-options/July 21, 2018 at 9:59 am #170035OscarSpectatorSorry, Diana, it doesn't help me much. Also, I would imagine that "premium support" which was advertised when I bought WPLMS meant that I will get answers to concrete questions not the same tutorial links over and over again (which, btw, doesn't answer to my problem). One could say that WPML is a complatley different plugin, but its your (WPLMS) tutorial video I am talking about, after all.. and you advertise integration between WPML and WPMLS.July 21, 2018 at 10:04 am #170037DianaParticipant@Oscar, Okay, Please share your admin credentials in a private reply here with site URL. I will check the settings and share the screenshots of your site, to add the button.
