August 15, 2016 at 8:59 am #64393CiprSpectatorHi i want to translate my page but i can´t find CodeStyling Localization plugin. ThanksAugust 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm #64423dezimmSpectatorHello Cipr, Given that the support team is off today for a holiday, I figured I'd help you out the best that I can. The Codestyling Localization Plugin and Localization Preserver are no longer available through Wordpress.org. That said, you can download both plugins from here and install them manually. To install them manually, do the following:
- Make sure that you download and install an FTP client if you don't already have one. I recommend using Filezilla as it's free and easy to use. You can download it from the official Filezilla website.
- Once you have the FTP client installed you will need to login into your website host via the FTP client. You will need the ftp host name, username, and password to login in. Typically, the host name is ftp.sitename.com. The username and password is typically the login name and password for your hosts login control panel. If that doesn't work and you can provide me with the hosting company you use, I can look up how to create an FTP account with the appropriate privileges and help you set up access to FTP.
- In the FTP client, navigate to wp-content > plugins directory. If the WordPress installation is installed directly on your domain, it will be in your root folder which is generally marked with a "/." If it is installed in a sub-directory then it would be found at directoryname > wp-content > plugins.
- Next, download both of the plugins from the link in provided above. For the sake of scrolling here is the link again for the plugins: Codestyling Localization & Preserver. Make sure to download them to a directory on your computer that you can easily find them. The downloads folder is typically the best place for this.
- Once the zip folders are downloading, you'll need to extract the plugins. Right click on the .zip folders for each plugin and select "extract here." Using this option will ensure that there are not duplicate folders with the same name.
- Locate the plugin's unzipped folder, then drag and drop the entire folder into the plugins folder directory in Filezilla. Once the plugins file transfer is completed, login to WP Admin with your credentials, navigate to plugins and activate them.
- Then, simply follow the instructions on how to translate things using the plugin documentation where you downloaded the two plugins.
