March 2, 2016 at 7:10 pm #33400jgerstParticipantI updated the theme this morning on communitelligence.com and the logo blows out on the header of the homepage. see attached photo. The logo on some of the other pages still looked ok (strange). I have updated all other vibe and wplms plugins so I believe the theme update is what is causing the problem. I had my web host restore the site to the latest backup so it is working ok again now. But I still need to update: You have version 2.0.2 installed. Update to 2.0.6. I previously gave you admin un/pw so could you look at this? I have not done customization except these adds that you previously gave me when we were setting up the site originally. Could something in this custom css be causing the problem with the newest upgrade? #register-page label{color:#444 !important;} label{ color:#444 !important; } #buddypress div#item-header div#item-meta, #course-list .item-meta, .block.courseitem.course2 .star-rating{display:none;} .editfield { color: #444; } .blogpost .date{ display:none; } .page-template-blog .pagetitle h5{ display:none; } .item-meta .students{ display:none; } .students_undertaking{display:none;} #buddypress div#item-header div#item-meta, #course-list .item-meta, .block.courseitem.course2 .star-rating{display:none;} .course_reviews(display:none;) #buddypress div#item-header div#item-meta, #course-list .item-meta, .block.courseitem.course2 .star-rating(display:none;) .course_reviews(display:none !important;) .block_content .instructor_course+strong{ display:none; } .block_content .instructor_course+strong{ display:none !important; } .courseitem.course2 .block_content .star-rating+strong{ display:none; } .block.courseitem .block_title{ border-bottom:none; } add_action( 'init', 'update_course', 99 ); function update_course() { global $wp_post_types; if ( post_type_exists( 'course' ) ) { // exclude from search results $wp_post_types['course']->exclude_from_search = true; } }March 3, 2016 at 11:05 am #33574Anshuman SahuKeymasterAs we are unable to replicate this issue in our test or demo sites and also we have not received any such query on our support till date ,we need an online test setup for this . Can you please create a test setup which have updated theme and plugins and issue is replicable on it ?March 4, 2016 at 12:44 am #33749jgerstParticipantSomething is strange. I went back into plugins and see that the vibe shortcodes, custom types and course module all say they need to be updated. But both custom types and course module say update failed. Then I refreshed the page and tried again and course module updated, but custom ty pes failed. Could this be related to the theme update issue I'm having? Does the theme have to be updated before the plugins? To your reply, I don't know how to create a test setup.March 4, 2016 at 12:46 am #33750jgerstParticipantAlso wplms dashboard and front end failed to update. Help!March 4, 2016 at 7:27 am #33897Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease update the plugins from wp-admin -> wordpress updates page . refer : http://prntscr.com/aazip4March 4, 2016 at 2:39 pm #34086jgerstParticipantAll my plugins are up to date. I just tried to update the theme again and the same issue occurred. The homepage header logo is blown up to about 100X size. This seems to be the ONLY issue the updated theme causes. Could you please log into admin and see if you can detect the problem? I get a backup file of the site every day at 3 AM so can restore it so don't mind if you work on the live site. login using un: wplms pw: 4))5&C)Ybz*jWbvu$*6Kqm3KMarch 5, 2016 at 6:36 am #34214Anshuman SahuKeymasterChecked your site . First of all please do not add the codes in appearance -> customize-> custom css . refer : http://prntscr.com/abeafn I have removed that code from your custom css and added it to wplms customizer . Also i need setup of 2.0.6.1 to check the logo issue .March 5, 2016 at 1:29 pm #34358jgerstParticipantOK. So when would you be able to work on this? I can trigger another update to 2.0.6.1 but it will be showing the glitch on the homepage, so would like to minimize the time. It would be preferable if you could do it today or tomorrow. Do you have approximate time? Or you could just trigger this yourself. Please let me know and I will be watching to see if you need me to do anything. Thanks,March 7, 2016 at 6:27 am #34556Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell if you site is live then i would recommend to test the update first by creating replica of your site on localhost or on a staging site. please refer : http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-clone-a-wordpress-site-in-7-easy-steps/ https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/how-to-create-wp-staging-environment/ Also you can update the theme and its plugins and check the issue again .We need to see the issue if it is there in the update at your end coz on our end we are not able to replicate this .March 9, 2016 at 8:02 pm #35284jgerstParticipantOK, have created a clone site at http://www.staging.communitelligence.com/. THe site is intact except the homepage layerslider and carousels did not come across. I tried to manually add them again but when you hit save they do not save for some reason. I'm not sure if this is related but today without making any changes, the logo on the live site disappeared and went to the wplms logo. I went into "WPLMS" then to "Header" and just clicked "Remove Upload" and re-added the logo and favicon. Now the question. The link to update wplms does not show on the staging site so apparently to update it I would need to download the latest theme zip. Where is this, or can you do this and see if the staging site updates OK? The login to the staging site is wplms jglqw#16March 10, 2016 at 7:01 am #35342Anshuman SahuKeymasterTo get the theme update you need to put the theme forest username and api key . Please refer : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/how-to-find-buyer-api-key-in-themeforest/ https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/auto-updating-wplms/March 10, 2016 at 6:51 pm #35543jgerstParticipantI have not updated wplms theme to latest on the staging site as requested: http://www.staging.communitelligence.com/ You can see that the logo is blown up, just as happens when trying to update theme on live site: www.communitelligence.com. Can you please log in as admin of staging site and correct this update issue using
un: wplms

pw: jgwplms16
March 11, 2016 at 7:25 am #35639Anshuman SahuKeymasterChecked your site and found that you have provided 1200 height of the logo in the customizer . refer : http://prntscr.com/adsnvk I changed the value to 48 px and saved the customizer and it fixed the issue .March 11, 2016 at 8:12 pm #35810jgerstParticipantWow, that simple. Wish I would have know that 10 days ago. Thanks.March 12, 2016 at 5:37 am #35857H.K. LatiyanParticipantThanks for confirming so marking the topic as resolved and closing the topic.
