How to remove settings on course creation?

Hi, When creating a course there are many settings I don't need such as Course Duration Course Duration Parameter Prerequisite Course ... How can I hide them (and give them a default value) by default? Also, I would like to remove the whole COMPONENTS area from the course creation page. Thanks
