so ....!!! this need to fix !! this happen just after the last theme update ;
Note : the new user register from frontend can successful log in just in the first time when register.
The new user that created from wp-admin can not login at all

In above reply I show you my setup in screenshots. I have also updated version of theme and plugin. and most importantly its working at my end.
In your case ajax call is returning 400 status that means bad request.
which can be due to server or wpml. so please ask them.
One more thing we have not change any code for sign in security function.
also If you have any pending update in theme or plugin please make it up to date.
every time I ask wpml for support they told me that wplms is not compatible theme with wpml . they told me that they contacted you many time with no respond from you .
they say to asking you to contact them to make a wplms compatible with wpml plugin !!!!

that means its not related to our theme. Kindly contact wpml support team because they can help better in this issue. they understand their's code better than us.

They are just trying to procrastinate the issue from their end by saying that .
Believe me if this was a bug from our end then it would have been replicated on other sites as well including our sites .
But we have proof that its working without wpml at our end .
im sorry there is nothing we can do when something is blocking the ajax call that we wrote .
in your theme you say wplms theme is compatible with wpml plugin and you add a special plugin to make wplms compatible with wpml ,
my site is multi languages and the only way to make the site multi languages is to use wpml as you say in your forums .....
so I built my site and purchase a wpml plug in , but In each period ,had compatibility issue with this plugin , and those issues need to fix by you not by wpml plugin team ,
and you can contact with wpml compatibility team to begin a process of making your theme officially compatible. as they suggested
