We have an accordion section on this page:
http://andrewolendzki.wpengine.com/faq/
Whenever you reload the page it behaves differently. Sometimes it works just fine. Sometimes when you click on one section it opens a different one. If you reload the page again then that section will work, but clicking on a section that previously worked fine now doesn't work and opens an entirely different section. Very frustrating.
Seems to be the same in Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
I've noticed by looking, for example at the Status Bar in Safari, that each link is assigned a number like this:
Go to #collapse961 on this page
It seems that sometimes several of the headings are assigned the same number which is causing the problems.
How can we fix this?
Thanks!
I am unable to replicate the issue on your site please refer the video:
http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDiY6sigX2
Also make sure your theme and plugins are updated to the latest versions i.e. 2.1.1
Also make sure when you are creating the shortcode for accordion you are inserting the full faq at a time, so that the connect id is same.
Hi Latiyan:
Thank you for your response!
All our plugins are updated to 2.1.1.
Our theme says it is at 2.1, but there is no indication in the Updates section that it needs to be updated. How should we update it to 2.1.1?
Here is a video documenting the problem:
https://youtu.be/5QgQmflbfEk
Note that when I click on item #1 it opens but a – also shows up next to item #9.
When I click on item #4 a – shows up next to item #10.
When I click on item #9 (at 0:17) item #1 opens.
Well this was an issue which we have fixed in the vibe shortcodes update .
But the fix needs some editing in the shortcode itself .
Now we are using a parent id to connect the different ids of the accordions and tabs .
So you need to add the accordions again to fix that .
just create your accordions content again using the Vibe shortcode builder (refer :
http://prntscr.com/bvplcr) and then try replicating the issue .
Thank you, Alex. I believe it is fixed now.
Thanks for confirming so closing the topic.
