Add a discussion forum for anyone registered in any course

Hi there, we would like to have a community forum that is available to anyone who has purchased a course. So basically we want to have the site where people cannot register in general, but only when taking a course. Then, once they have purchased a course they have access to the forum. Also - is there a way of making their access to the forum last for a certain period of time (3 years)

@nikicampbell For this, you can connect the forum with the course and the course with the forum. So only course students can access that forum. If that course is not a free course. Then any user who will purchase that course enroll in that course and then he can access that forum

Thanks. two questions:

• Is there a way to make that forum available to more than 1 course?
• Is it possibly to make it where someone can access the forum for 3 years, even though they only have access to the course for 6 months?

@nikicampbell Yes, it is possible that a single forum can be accessible for more than 1 course. Do not connect any course with the forum. Only edit the course and connect the forum. Available for 6 months Yes, the forums will be accessible
