Can't disable unit completion lock

My courses run over six weeks. Each week, a new bunch of units is made available using the drip feed/date available feature. I want students to be able to move freely between the units for that week. I've set 'unit completion lock' to disabled, but they still have to mark each unit as complete before the next unit link shows. This was working last week, but I updated the site over the weekend - is it a known bug or is there a fix? Ta

Please make sure you have set the section drip feed. Also make sure the previous unit/quiz completion check is disabled in course settings, refer: http://prntscr.com/cp8nb1
