certificate date

Again, the same issue with certificate dates when issued from Admin - instead of the date it shows [certificate_date]. I did work at some point, but now again it does not. I followed same steps: force unit complete for student, then mark course as "Finished" , then "assign certificate". Certificate is assigned but with no date. Please advice!

Ok, when you mark a course as "Completed" for a student, a different activity is recorded. "Instructor marked the course complete for Student XXX" Where as when a student completes a course a different activity is recorded. "Student finished the course XXX" So, the shortcode course_completion_date, detects when the student submitted the course and will not work when Instructor marks the course complete.   However the shortcode certificate_student_date detects when the certificate was awarded to the student either by the Instructor or by the system itself. So, use this shortcode  "certificate_student_date" for printing certificate date.
