May 20, 2017 at 3:15 pm #113129LouisSpectatorHi, I'd like to change the url of the login button in the top menu. Currently it opens a popup but I'd like it to redirect to the wp-login url. How could I do that? Also, is it possible to modify the name of the login button that is in the top menu Thanks.May 22, 2017 at 12:58 pm #113297Skywalker [ ex VibeThemes]ParticipantGo to wp-admin->appearance->menus->top menus->change the link of the login button of the top menu.May 22, 2017 at 1:28 pm #113315LouisSpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.May 23, 2017 at 12:29 pm #113514Anshuman SahuKeymasterPlease try adding the given css in your wp-admin -> apperance -> customize -> custom css : #headertop ul.topmenu:not(#menu-top-menu) {display:none; }May 23, 2017 at 1:39 pm #113562LouisSpectatorOK, that's not what I was looking for... Your solution just hide the buttons login and sign up whereas I wanted to change them. * Change the URLs associated with them * Change their displayed text Thanks for your feedback.May 23, 2017 at 1:58 pm #113579Skywalker [ ex VibeThemes]ParticipantThis css will hide the login and sign up buttons. Then you have to add custom links in the top menu with your custom links and login as it's name. Go to wp-admin->appearance->menus->top menu.May 24, 2017 at 11:15 am #113727LouisSpectatorYes, that's a nice hack but then the problem is those buttons are always displayed even though the user is logged in anf that's something I don't want. That's why I was asking how to change the URLs on the native login & signup buttons. So is it feasible? If yes, how? Thanks a lot for your help.May 24, 2017 at 12:44 pm #113768H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi... You can add the buddypress login and register link, refer: http://prntscr.com/fbjh9t These links are only shown to non logged in users, the logged in users will not see these links in the menu. If you are not able to see the buddypress menu in the menus screen, then please click on screen options in top right side of the screen and then enable the buddypress menu.May 24, 2017 at 12:48 pm #113772Skywalker [ ex VibeThemes]ParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.May 24, 2017 at 1:38 pm #113789LouisSpectatorSorry but still not working... * Adding the CSS you provided makes the user unable to display the "logged in menu" on the top right, with a list of the important URLs he could need. * I can see the BuddyPress logged in and logged out menu but in any case, I am unable to add custom links to those: http://prntscr.com/fbk7bk * They only enable to add built-in menus. They are displayed as "custom link" but in fact I cannot change their URL: http://prntscr.com/fbk71b Thanks for your helpMay 24, 2017 at 3:16 pm #113848Anshuman SahuKeymaster
Ok I understand your use case now . I have added some custom code in your site to fix that . CAn you please check your menu again with logged in and non logged user .May 24, 2017 at 3:37 pm #113852LouisSpectatorYep, that's great, it works; thanks a lot for your time! Now though I only have one additional question: is it possible to change the url of the "register" button on the wp-login.php page? I would like this to be "/sign-up" and not "/register" Again, thanks for your time, I appreciate that.May 24, 2017 at 4:47 pm #113862LouisSpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.May 25, 2017 at 1:20 pm #113957Anshuman SahuKeymasterI added the custom classes to the menu items in your site and then used these custom classes to hide show conditionally . refer : http://prntscr.com/fbye3y The css code to hide show menu items have to be based on logic if user is logged in or not .Therefore I added the css conditionally .the code for this is in your wplms-customizer.php file in wplms customizer plugin . refer : http://prntscr.com/fbyeg2 to change registeration url please add the given code in your wplms-customizer.php file in wplms customizer plugin at the end: add_filter( 'register_url', 'custom_register_url' ,99); function custom_register_url( $register_url ) { $register_url = 'http://google.com'; return $register_url; } change " http://google.com " in above code with your register url -
