Course category link & Couse filter widget

  I linked each course category directly to the menu. (/course-cat/sample-a ) In this case, if i search for a different course category (sample-b) using the course filer widget, the sample-a and sample-b categories will be displayed together. It is included automatically even if i do not check the sample-a category. Perhaps the permalink of the page is /course-cat/sample-a. Is there any way to properly use the category filter feature while linking course categories directly?
