Course Hours Countdown and Expiration

Hello, I have enabled Course Duration from Start Course. https://prnt.sc/qaz8zb But still, once the course is started shouldn't it be paused when student is clicking Back to Course or Logging out of the system. Currently once the course is started there is no way to pause it, when students are logging in after 2 or 3 days, the course with less hours are getting expired. Any workaround for this ? Well no this does not works like this . For such a system we need to track and save the time spent by the user in course and subtract it which will require to make an update query every defined amount time which will results in too many hits to server every moment and with many users it can slow down whole site and also may crash your site .   The clock start ticking for the user as soon as they hit the start course button currently as its difficult to track the exact time due to above reasons .
