I managed to set the order of the courses using the order field.
It works perfectly on the course directory page, but everywhere else the order is the exact reverse.
It thus seems that the directory is using the order 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, while all the other lists are using 1,2,3,4,5.
I also tried using the sort by Start Date filter, but it still shows it in reverse. I.e. the course that starts first is shown last.
How to fix this?
Correct order: http://year13.co.za/all-courses/
Wrong order: http://year13.co.za/ (Bottom of page under compulsory courses)
Please note that the order just works only on the course directory page and my courses page .
On other pages courses lists up by the order of the post ID in the database .
Hi Alex, How can the order be changed so it is NOT by post ID in the database? Where is the order field located for courses?
Well we are using the wordpress query and it fetches and shows the courses in order of "recently published" .
User can also sort the course from the dropdown and fron the filter widget .
Please add the buddypress course filter widget in buddypress sidebar from wp-admin -> appearance -> widgets .
There is also order taxonomy provided on back end edit course page to change the order of the courses .

If you have 3 courses and you give them order as 1,2 and 3, then the course with order 3 will be at the top of all the courses and the course with order 2 will be below it and course with order 1 will be at the last.Hope this helps.
