I read some solutions to this problem but i don't fix it, I recap ::
In mobile size :
1) When I open the burger menu, it opens menu ok, but the cross disappears. And on my iPhone 5S, I cannot close it even if i touch in any different zone... I check on my computer reducing the size it closes clicking on other part, but not on my iPhone... being the most important for a mobile menu :)

2) i add this custom css :
header #trigger .lines,header #trigger .lines:after, #trigger .lines:before {
background: #000;
}
because the burger menu what disappearing scrolling down with fixed header (white over white) but I wanted the burger menu in white color on the first header (transparent)... and only scrolling down in black...

I am having the same issue on iPhone, unable to display the cross to close the menu.
Using Modern theme with sleek static header.
Make sure you modern theme is updated to the latest verison.
Updated from 2.4 to 2.6, child theme. Still not working, cleared cache.

I checked your site on mobile safari it is working fine.
Did you try from a physical iOS device? When using emulators it works, on physical iOS (iPhone, iPad, etc) it does not work. Also tested on a Windows Phone 950 XL and it also does not work.
1. Click the sub-menu (hamburger)
2. Side menu displays
3. Unable to collapse the sub-menu (the X also disappears)
I tested this on a physical iPhone 6S running iOS 10.2.1
It works fine.
I am also running 10.2.1 yet every mobile device using every broswer possible will not work.
I see others are having similar issues and their is currently a known issue being tracked which is similar.
Would uploading a video of my failure or a video of your success make gathering more information better?
This issue is making the final deployment of our solution delayed as its unusable on mobile devices. We have tested on over ~20 devices now.

The hamburger Menu cross button does not work in safari.

I see on the tracker it says this is not fixable, however, are there any workarounds? I tried various header styles and they all present the same issue. Is there a configuration or header style this does work on using the Modern theme?
Mobile use is huge for this project.
