Custom Text on Blog Page

Hello, I'd like to add custom text on a blog page, ie, at the top of the page, before the blog posts are listed. When I add text to the page itself, it doesn't appear when published. How can I do this? Thank you!

@bracha These Blog pages have the template set in it. I cannot give you any custom code to show something on blog page because there is no action or filter defined in it. It is  a simple template. You can use the blank child theme to overwrite the blog page template
