September 18, 2020 at 9:54 pm #312136lapacastSpectatorHi, I need to send some specific lessons to my clients, they are added to the course, but the link I am sending say "direct access to units is not allowed" How can I do this? is really important for me For example this link: https://thefademy.com/unit/por-que-pensar-primero-en-el-cliente/?id=8909 thanksSeptember 19, 2020 at 5:22 am #312198DianaParticipantFrom LMS - Settings enable this setting https://prnt.sc/s6hyxh But the above setting will only work for those who are using v3 https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/direct-unit-link-from-curriculum/September 19, 2020 at 3:17 pm #312420lapacastSpectatorHi Diana, using v3? what do you mean? Ok I got this settings, but users still can go to the units. I need that students (enrolled in the course) can access to specific units from a link I sent to them. Right know I go to course status, no to the unit. Please let me know thanksSeptember 21, 2020 at 1:22 pm #312808VeronicaModeratorhi, delay in response due to support holiday I need that students (enrolled in the course) can access to specific units from a link I sent to them. no this is not availableSeptember 22, 2020 at 2:29 pm #313102lapacastSpectatorocuh, so is not possible? woow please consider this. I got a workbook where I want to insert those links to specific units :(September 23, 2020 at 7:32 am #313304VeronicaModeratoryou can do a thing that in-unit settings disable free units then provide the link of the unit to the students and when the user wants to access that unit it only will be visible to the users who have enrolled in the course otherwise it will show the user to enroll in the courseSeptember 23, 2020 at 1:51 pm #313344lapacastSpectatorHi Veronica thanks, "free units" are already disable. Should I enable it? Which of the above links should work? A. From currilculum: https://thefademy.com/course/brand-maker-crea-tu-marca-de-moda/como-editar-las-plantillas-del-curso or B. Direct: https://thefademy.com/unit/por-que-pensar-primero-en-el-cliente/?id=8909 ThankyouSeptember 23, 2020 at 2:03 pm #313350lapacastSpectatorbecause I try with this 2 links with an account that is enrolled to this course, A go to /course-status/ no to the unit, and B show me this "DIRECT ACCESS TO UNITS IS NOT ALLOWED"September 24, 2020 at 3:08 am #313470VeronicaModeratorhi, Yes in wplms students cannot access the units directly form the curriculum. They can only access the units from the course status page. Only instructors and admins can access their units. If you want students to get access to the units from the curriculum then please follow this tip. https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/enable-students-subscribed-to-course-to-view-units-from-curriculum/ this will only allow those students to view units from the curriculum which are subscribed to the course. The students which have finished the course, expired, removed from the course, or have not purchased the course will not be able to access the units from the curriculum.September 24, 2020 at 1:32 pm #313698lapacastSpectatorthanks Veronica, I will add then the second code on that link, right? want students to get access to the units from a link I have sent to them. This link i have to send them is A or B in my example? And just to confirm, free units are disable. I dont have free units, is that ok? thankyouSeptember 25, 2020 at 6:41 am #313850VeronicaModeratorhi one minute! you are on version3 right? and in version 3 the above tip wouldn't work because in version 3 we have already added these settings: https://prnt.sc/s6hyxh http://prntscr.com/unink9 just enable the settings free units also accessed by the users who are not enrolled in the course
