Hide login on top menu

Hi I want to hide the login from top menu on both desktop an mobile. I find on different post to copy this code <span style="color: #4b4d4d; font-family: Inconsolata, Consolas, Monaco, 'Lucida Console', monospace; font-size: 15px; background-color: #f9f9f9;">a.smallimg.vbplogin,a.vbpregister {display:none;}</span> to my custom.css But it's not work, there is other way?
