October 28, 2020 at 8:35 am #321277DrewNiemeyerParticipantHi, I'm adding some physical and e- products onto my website in addition to the courses, and I want to have a searchable page for the products, much like the course directories page. Also, I want to have it searchable by category and/or tags. Is there a way to do this?October 28, 2020 at 9:02 am #321292DrewNiemeyerParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.October 28, 2020 at 9:20 am #321304DrewNiemeyerParticipantActually I've noticed that there is a page called "Shop". It has a list of demo products on it - how does this work? The Wordpress edit page is empty and so is the Elementor editor. I'm not sure how the products are listed there. Anyway, along with the list of products, I'd also like to have it searchable and be able to narrow search results by category/tag. If there is a way to do this with a similar style to the other pages, that would be great. Thanks!October 28, 2020 at 9:47 am #321314DrewNiemeyerParticipantActually, I just went to edit the Member's Directory page with Elementor and found the editing page empty. So, I'm not sure how the whole directory exists on the page. In the list of Elementor elements I searched for 'directory' and found no results, so the elements I'm expecting to use are not there. I think I'm confused!October 29, 2020 at 10:49 am #321610VeronicaModeratorhi if you are editing any page from here http://prntscr.com/v7mio2 then please de-select the page from here and save the setting and then edit the page save the page and then again select the page in BuddyPress pages and please can you explain your requirement in detail you can share a recording or screenshot of your requirement it will help me to understand it a better wayOctober 29, 2020 at 11:36 am #321628DrewNiemeyerParticipantI can see that there is a shop page with all the products, but at the moment it looks like this: https://prnt.sc/v9by31 But it would be good if it had filters and a search field https://prnt.sc/v9bxgh The other pages have them https://prnt.sc/v9c060 https://prnt.sc/v9c0v6 Is it possible to add filters (I'm thinking categories) and a search bar?October 30, 2020 at 10:51 am #321907VeronicaModeratorhi of course, you can select the page and select the shop sidebar their and add widgets here http://prntscr.com/va0m2r you can use ctrl+f and search product and use the filter accordinglyOctober 30, 2020 at 11:00 pm #322055DrewNiemeyerParticipantOk, thanks Veronica. The categories widget works. I'm not sure that the ctrl+f solution is very user-friendly, especially when there eventually will be lot of products. Do you think you guys could create a new directory element in Elementor for products? That way, members could easily search the categories of the products. https://prnt.sc/vafpcgOctober 31, 2020 at 7:13 am #322073VeronicaModeratorhi I have missed a word here you can use ctrl+f and search product word on the widgets page and use the filter accordingly like this: http://prntscr.com/vaky3oOctober 31, 2020 at 9:55 am #322089DrewNiemeyerParticipantAh, I see what you mean. Yes, I tried that widget and added it to the shop sidebar, but it did nothing, so I removed it and ignored it. Is there something I need to know about that widget? I have added it again into the sidebar, but nothing shows up on the page. https://prnt.sc/vamtbm https://prnt.sc/vamson Anything else I need to do to make it work?November 2, 2020 at 11:30 am #322402VeronicaModeratorhi the delay in response due to support holiday please try to add these widgets http://prntscr.com/vbrxc2November 2, 2020 at 12:50 pm #322438DrewNiemeyerParticipantHi Veronica, That's interesting - I've only got two choices for widgets there (https://prnt.sc/vbtmli) whereas I can see 4 on your screenshot. I've dragged over the one to filter by attributes (https://prnt.sc/vbto5q) and I've added in some attributes to the product attributes list, to test it out. I couldn't add any attributes to the products, though. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? My video of trying to add attributes to a product Also, the filter doesn't appear on the shop page. I'm thinking it's because none of the products have attributes attached. Would that be right? https://prnt.sc/vbtz8rNovember 3, 2020 at 1:05 pm #322677VeronicaModeratoryes it can be I’m thinking it’s because none of the products have attributes attached but if you add rest 3 then I think it will fulfill your requirement.November 3, 2020 at 9:27 pm #322780DrewNiemeyerParticipantHi Veronica, I'm not sure what you mean by "add rest 3". Also, not sure if you saw my attempt to add attributes (https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cYXnlGsKs9) I'm not able to add attributes, and I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing or if it's something in the program.November 4, 2020 at 12:54 pm #322916VeronicaModeratorhi please select values here http://prntscr.com/vdah2n and rest means the rest widgets to filter the product http://prntscr.com/vbrxc2
