How to get year wise statistics data

Hi, In LMS>>Statistics there is custom option to choose start and end date, but I can't get the number of courses between the date I have chosen, so how to get report for specified date range and how to download that report?

We can create where the code is written and which function you have to modify to fetch the values, Then you can write a custom code for that Is that Okay?
