How to upload AVI file format?

We have a lot of AVI files and don't want to convert AVI to MP4. But the player does not display if I upload AVI file format. Have any solution can solve this issue? Thank you.

Yes the .avi format files are not played by the wordpress player they only show a dowload link. You have to use third party plugins for .avi files. Reference: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-native-video-player-doesnt-playmkv-or-avi-why
