April 17, 2017 at 11:51 am #107209amackenSpectatorHi team, On the thread (link below) you mentioned you have developed a plugin to import new (unregistered) users directly into a Batch. I only work with schools who have hundred of users and so this plugin would be hugely useful to me. Can you tell me where to download this plugin and if there are any instructions/tips for it please? I have shared user credentials below for my site if you need them. https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/wplms-users-groups-and-batches/ Thanks AlanApril 17, 2017 at 11:54 am #107211amackenSpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.April 17, 2017 at 3:13 pm #107279Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell importing bulk user in bacth via csv is under development as of now . Hopefully this will be released by the end of next week . right now you can create user in back end and add them in batch from back end group efit page as well as front end group manage .April 17, 2017 at 3:24 pm #107283amackenSpectatorThanks Alex, The trouble with importing this way is that it is very manual. Imagine a school with 150 members of staff; to add them into the group/batch manually is tedious and takes a very long time. As an ex Learndash user, I was able to use the plugin 'Import Users with CSV' plugin, which would create the account, set the password, import into a group and email the user - all with one click. I can replicate this within WPLMS using the same plugin (import, create the account, set the password, email the user), but the only step that is missing is assigning to the batch. Thanks again. LatiyanParticipantHere is the plugin: https://github.com/VibeThemes/bp_groups_import_users You can download it from the github, refer: http://prntscr.com/ep0et5 Steps to use:
- Install the plugin and activate it.
- Now you'll see a bulk upload option in the group members, refer: http://prntscr.com/ep0gcc
- Upload the csv file to add the students, if the users are already registered then they will be added in the group if you check the "create users if not exists" then the new users will be registered automatically and an activation email will be sent to them.
- The sample csv file looks like this: http://prntscr.com/ep0iwj
- Make sure you reload the page after importing the users.
April 18, 2017 at 5:19 pm #107467amackenSpectatorExcellent, thank you very much. I'll give this a try and let you know how I get on. AlanApril 19, 2017 at 5:19 am #107507H.K. LatiyanParticipantSure, do let me know if you face any issues with this.June 27, 2017 at 12:54 pm #118566amackenSpectatorHi H.K. Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you on this, I've only just started to test the bulk upload feature. The plugin seems to be working as you stated, just a couple of observations so far: 1. The email address is used as the username. Is it possible to separate this out so that I can manually add the username onto the csv before upload? 2. Is it possible to amend the email that is sent to all users so that it can be personalised for that particular batch? Thanks for your continued help. AlanJune 28, 2017 at 12:48 pm #118725H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi... Please create a feature request for this in our feature request forum for this as its not available in wplms as of now.June 28, 2017 at 2:21 pm #118759amackenSpectatorSorry H.K. I'm confused, I'm not asking for a new feature. You asked me for feedback when I test the plugin. According to the post above (from Alex) the plugin would be released in a few days, and that was 2 months ago. I'm simply responding with feedback. AlanJune 28, 2017 at 2:31 pm #118765H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi... The plugin that I shared above in this topic is the plugin which Alex told you.June 28, 2017 at 3:02 pm #118776amackenSpectatorHi H.K. Yes, thank you, I'm aware of that. I'm simply reporting back my initial findings as requested. The 2 questions I raised are not features surely? These are basic requirements of any plugin such as this. AlanJune 29, 2017 at 11:12 am #118840H.K. LatiyanParticipantThanks for the feedback, we'll make changes in this plugin in future updates. -
