Login sync and phone auth

Hi, I have 2 questions about logging in: 1- I have installed WordPress Multisite User Sync/Unsync app to sync users between www.mainsite.com and www.mainsite.com/wplms so when the user logs into main site clicks onto wplms and are automatically logged in. It works for admin but I cant get it to work for instructor. Is there a setting I need to be aware of? 2- How can I customize the log in form as I want it only for students to log in via gmail or phone auth I don't want the registration fields on there as teachers will create the student accounts. Thank you
