    Dear support, I don't understand why the "manual approve account" setting doesn't work: https://prnt.sc/10qbo1j Still I automatically get the activation mail. It should be manually approved. Could you help me please? Thanks!

    hi first make sure you have connected the activate page in BuddyPress pages. wp-admin->settings->buddypress->pages->activate Now you can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-registration-options/ This will allow you to first approve the account before the user can log in. The activation mail is sent only when a user clicks on register button. When you selected manual approval of students then no any activation email is sent. You can use welcome email, when user is being added then a welcome email is sent to user. To enable welcome email please go to wp-admin -> LMS -> Setting-> Emails. Refer : http://prntscr.com/kwiyo3

    Thanks Veronica, the plugin works well. Still the whole concept worked fine just 2 weeks ago without a plugin! Must have been either WP Update or VibeBP? And the activation mail is still sent out and the user can login without awaiting approval :-(

    I'd like to link this activation issue with another ticket where I firstly targeted the styling of the activation page: https://wplms.io/support/forums/topic/styling-activate-page/page/2/#post-347543 The actual activation works parallel to the BB approval plugin and circumvents it!!!

    Hi and sorry if this was a bit unclear. I need to have a 2 step activation if a new self-registering user. The after the user applies for the “membership” with their email and Passwort the user should not be able to logon the system if not acknowledged by an administrator! As of now the procedure is parallel. The user gets an activation mail, although not acknowledged. So the BPRegistration plugin is working but inefficient.

    Perfect Diana, exactly what I wanted. Thanks a lot! It even saves another plugin ;-) One quick thing for you and a struggle for weeks for me: At the custom registration form there is a 'register' button. (It's with many other forms as well but here is the example: https://prnt.sc/10tiu0e Do you think it is easy to change the font color ;-) I've been trying back and forth and can't get it changed :-(

    Thanks Diana, this worked. Now the top bit (setup menus in admin panel) has a color styling issue as displayed here: https://prnt.sc/10u96ee I guess there is no need for the menus in activation page. Instead of altering css could I get rid of the menu in act. page?

    Thanks Diana and sorry if I caused a confusion with my request. Thanks for the CSS which worked! I know where to set menus in Wordpress. Please let me rephrase my main question: How can I get rid of the "Setup Menus in Admin Panel" text. There is no need to set up a menu there.

    Hide using this custom css .custom-background header.standard.center.fix{ display:none !important; }
