member profile layout auto

I know how to auto assign member type upon sign up but i need to auto assign member profile layout as well. How do i do this? takipçi satın al

Edit member profile layout and assign the member type: http://prntscr.com/veg666 Now that particular layout will be assigned to all those members who falls under that member type category

Hi Yes I understand this but when i set up a new user from the back end or if someone signs themselves up i still have to manually go in and select profile type and layout type

This should not be done, if you are following steps properly. 'Make sure you are using wplms custom registration form and set the member type in the form: https://prnt.sc/109z1ti Then connect the profile layout with member type If still not working, you can share your site URL with admin credentials here in a private reply to check

So are you saying i should use that page to register students instead of the backend method? That wont give them instructor privileges will it? It is just students i want to sign up

That doesn't work, i just tested it using that form and the dashboard is still empty meaning it didn't apply the right member profile layout

HI, I did not mean that. What I am saying that if you use any custom registration form (you can create a custom registration form for student also, I just showed you an example) member type is assigned to the user . Another thing you are understanding wrong way that dashboard widgets are managed from appeaance>> widgets not from layouts https://prntscr.com/10a6kil So here in vibebp dashboard for instructor has no widgets added that is why the dashboard shows empty. As you said right now who ever registers the dashboard appears empty because member type is not assigned so you need to use any custom registration form for new user registration and assign member type in the registration form itself.
