Migration 3.9 to 4.0x

I want to migrate from 3.9 to 4.0. I need help to migrate. The site currently is very slow. i tried two times but its not working.

The update to new framework is very slow. Stay loading many minutes. the experience is not quick. i return the site to past status. I use actually 4.02. i dont know if i need anything to to make de site more quick.
