Modern them blog style to default

Hi! I am trying to edit the blog a bit to make it more readible and sharable. I am using demo1 but would like to have the blog style of modern. I tried copying single.php and single-post.php to the childtheme but with no succes yet. Also I could not find a single-post.php in the wplms main theme? Only single.php. Is this file only for blog posts? Or also used for other stuff? Cheers

Yes you need to copy the single.php file, single-post.php file and the blog template file which you want to use and make sure these files are present in exactly the same folder as it is in the modern theme.
