Try adding the bellow css in your appearance->customize->custom css:
.course_content_panel .unit_wrap .unit_prevnext {z-index:1;}

I replicated the issue on my test setup, its a z-index issue but right now the z-index conflicts, if its fixed in full screen mode then it causes the issue in normal mode and vice-versa.

Sorry there is no quick fix right now, we tried for a quick fix using some css, but everytime it caused other issues.
We'll try fixing it using some changes in our js file and then we'll let you know.

@codenuri: This bug is already fixed in the latest vibe course module plugin.
Make sure this is fixed only if you are using default wordpress media player, but if you are using some other media player then this is not fixed.
