Do I still need WPBakery? Can I uninstall it and only use Elementor as a page builder? I'm sure you are aware that two page builders use more resources, not to mention it's a little confusing sometimes. I get this error when editing the home page with Elementor: I delete everything that the demo has on that page in order to create my own design and, after I apply the changes, the old content shows up on the published page even if it's not there anymore on the Elementor editor. It is however still present inside the WPBakery editor. What is the best way to edit these pages?

You don't need to uninstall it. You simply can disable it for pages , where you don't want to use it. Refer : https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqh6IuZ8yJ
You can see there is a content by page builder below at my home page. but after disabling page builder for home page it disappears.

So you actually have 3 page builders then? WPBakery Page Builder, the Page Builder underneath it, which has the disable button you showed in your screen cast (which doesn't control the WPBakery Page Builder) http://prntscr.com/nnvgn9 and then you also have Elementor?

Yes, You can use all of them as your requirements . Some users like to work on page builder, some on elementor. You can enable or disable it on each post according to your need.
