Remove unit from course when student retake a course

Hi, there is any hook to remove a specific units when a student retake the course? For example, I have a course with 6 units, where the last is a quiz. If a student doesn't pass the quiz can retake the course I would like to hide the unit number 5. Thank you for any suggestiona, Marco
