Shopping cart link and top menu editing with minimal theme

My site is here http://writershq.co.uk/ Is there a way I can add items to the top menu? I've tried creating a new menu called Top Menu, setting its location and adding items but it doesn't seem to work. Specifically I would like to put a shopping cart link there. Is this possible with minimal theme? Thanks

I am sorry adding cart in the top menu in the standard centered header won't be possible as of now . Please use another headers for this . Default menu has top menu and you can add link to cart in that .
